From reading other reviews I knew exactly what to expect from these pillowcases and that's why I wanted these. They don't feel like leather, they feel like fabric, so I knew they would feel like a pillow I bought from Target a few years ago and love. They came in a lighter brown version than what is shown but I still like them. They come very close to the cognac/tan color popular today. They're reasonably soft, but not super soft, and at least not like cheap plastic like some faux leather. At first I was concerned about the size, hoping to use my IKEA 20x20 down pillows, but I was pleasantly surprised that they just fit. Just remember to put in the pillow insert and zip up carefully. As you can see in the photo, there is a crease, but there were a lot of creases on it, and after I filled the liner, one remained. I think it will come out in time because I've only had it for a few days. If you are looking for real leather then they are not for you but they still look nice and have the mottled look of a leather print. I believe you are entitled to what you get.
