I have a Ford Escape XLT 2011 and took both remote controls into the car, put the programmed chip key in the ignition lock. I then turned the key to the ON position (the car would not start) and immediately back to the OFF position. *Repeat off/on 8 times. For 8th gear to the ON position, leave the key in the ON position. The car will move the door locks up and down to let you know it's ready for remote programming. At this point, PRESS ANY KEY on the first programmer remote and immediately do the same for all subsequent remotes. * If the programming was successful, the door locks will be moved up and down. ***NOTE: All remote controls MUST be programmed simultaneously and within 10-20 seconds, immediately following the FIRST cycle of the UP and DOWN latches.
