Installing Sanus Vmpl50A-B1 mount with 70 " Sharp Aquos TV

Overall this is a GREAT adjustable TV mount with quality workmanship. I was impressed with the features and finish and got a solid five stars. TV buyers beware! If you're looking for a giant TV, beware of this issue: Regardless of the manufacturer, the length of the key used to adjust the bracket doesn't match the width of the giant TVs! This hassle means you cannot make any adjustments after the TV is wall mounted as the wrench is not long enough to reach the adjustment screws deep behind the TV Here is my review based on my setup: For wall mounted TVs you need the right bracket, and this is one of the best i have this mount for a 70-z used a full SHARP Aquos TV that weighs 100 pounds. The reason for the gigantic size of the TV was to cover the opening of an old tube TV over the fireplace. In fact, the old TV cavity above the fireplace was a godsend for two reasons. First I was able to create my own 2x4 frame for the house structure inside the cavity and then screw the TV mount base onto the 2x4. There are no questions about the holding power of the mount. Second, once installed, I was able to reach the TV and lock the mount's tilt adjustment since the TV cavity had a rear access door, which otherwise would not have been possible. The supplied adjustment key was too short to reach the adjustment screws! It would be a big bummer to mount it on a solid wall. Back to the installation, with the help of another person we lifted the TV and placed it on the wall mount and heard/felt a strong click from the TV mount locking the wall mount in place. No doubt there was a TV on the mountain. The customization of the mount was fantastic. With my wife's guidance, I was able to move the TV left or right until it was perfectly centered horizontally in her head. Then I was able to give it a slight downward tilt. This would be an easy step if the wrench was long enough. Anyway, I had to use my assistant to hold the TV's tilt in place while I went around the back and tightened the tilt adjustment by reaching through the old TV's cavity. We are very satisfied with the mounting choices and the installation experience.
