This is a warm, welcoming duvet that will perform well for over 2 years and easily withstands a dozen washes with no structural damage. Despite regular trips through the washing machine (the King version is the largest that can and still does fit in a high-capacity washing machine), it hasn't tangled or torn and is noticeably softer than when it arrived. The thread count and overall feel has nothing to do with "luxury," but if you go with reasonable expectations, that's a great consolation for the price. A fairly acceptable blanket for everyday use with good wear resistance. Don't overestimate it and people will be much happier with what they get. Also, anyone who has used "synthetic goose down" as a selling point for this product has a fantastic comedy career ahead of them. it is a polyfill. Just name it Polyfill.
