I was looking for a selfie stick and found this that also doubles as a small phone tripod. I thought this would be a nice addition since I don't have to carry around a large tripod all the time. I also liked that it has a trigger that connects via Bluetooth. The remote control was very easy to connect and worked in real time, with no delay between pressing a button and taking a photo of the phone. The only reason I'm giving this item one star is that when the phone stand is open you need to make sure it's a very solid, stable and level surface and that your phone is properly seated in the stand. Your phone will most likely be heavier than all of these combined. So if you don't have your phone in a holder to evenly distribute the phone's weight, it will become too heavy and fall. If you try to use this on a softer surface like a carpet or an uneven surface, you may have a hard fall problem as well. Overall, it worked great in all of my different test modes. I tried using it both as a tripod and as a selfie stick. The remote control works with it in every version. *Make sure* that the nut/bolt where the phone holder attaches to the base is very well tightened, otherwise your phone will tip over and stop tilting toward the object being photographed.
