I'm a big crafter, bought and tried. I used wood circles that you can buy in bulk with bark on them. It was a total mess, ruined my photo and didn't work. Instead it burned the image and some small areas passed through but wanted to curl around the edges. I then tried balsa wood since I had some of my Screech Maker and got the same results. When you buy, please use disposable photos. I sent mine back and said it didn't work. Hope you have better luck when you buy. Personally I would go for a matte podge mod in a jar after printing the image on an inkjet printer or a glossy image or print the image onto wax paper and transfer. These options will make up a quarter of the headache that the podge transfer tool mod gives... 😡
