Snug toe but lockable

We chose these boots because of the color, the shorter size and the quality expectations of the Columbia brand. While my teen loves the cropped cut - she could actually wear them to school - these boots didn't live up to our expectations initially. The boots are cute but my 10 year old daughter couldn't even put her foot in the tiny incredibly tight sock. Crate. I wasn't ready Giving up those boots - they seem well tailored and go great with her coat - so we tucked a baseball in the toe box to stretch it and give more headroom. We left them like that for a few weeks and it helped! Now she can easily insert and remove her leg.
