I bought this stools as dummy stools for the counter that divides the kitchen and living room. I have a small open floor plan 1br. My living room sectional is large. I wanted something that doesn't take up much room. So I bought the backless and armless benches. I assembled them in under 10 minutes and didn't have to read the directions. The quality is outstanding. And to my surprise, they are very comfortable and stable. I thought I would feel unbalance on them, but I feel very secure and oddly the design forces you to have a better posture. They are even fun to spin on. I find myself sitting on the stools more than the sofa to watch tv as I use the laptop. They are perfect!
