I would like to preface this by saying my husband is very handy. He build a house from the ground up. We chose system to use in our linen closet. It seemed to have good reviews and it was inexpensive. We thought we would give it a try. Now I know better. Steer clear of this item. It is a nightmare and not worth the small amount of money you save compared to the hours you have to fight with it.There are two significant issues with the design of the system:1. The bracket pieces are too long for the shelving systems. If the brackets were only as long as the depth of the shelf, this would have been significantly easier to install.2. The top horizontal support. This support is not designed to allow the verticals peices to lay flat against the wall. If you loosen the horizontal piece so the veritical pieces can lay against the wall, you sacrifice the support and stability of the hanging shelf limiting the amount it weight you can put on the shelves. If you keep the horizontal piece properly alighted and push the vertical prices against the wall, you would have to use so much force, it will damage the horizontal piece. That would also make it no longer structurally sound.We have put up several different brands of shelving systems in the past. This one was by far the most difficult to install. Steer clear of this poorly made system. For a tiny bit more money, you get something that is much easier to install, saving hours of frustration.
