Bought these for my work boots to keep them from getting dirty and wet. Not only do they cover the bottom of my boots, they cover them completely and provide extra protection on my feet. What I didn't realize when I bought them is that they actually have a bottom that looks like the bottom of my work boots. They still have good traction on the underside so I didn't slip and slide through the mud. Even if you step on the dirt, they won't come loose or even slip. At first I thought I might slip or trip, but they fit so snugly on my work boots that the covers barely move. When I'm done I can take them off and wash them to use again the next day. Even if I take them home, I can rinse them again, throw them in the washing machine and let them air dry. The material is made of dense fabric that will not rip or tear. There is a strap at the top that doesn't bother me and doesn't bother me at work. They really protect my boots from mud and water.
