Review on πŸ’€ Air Comfort Camp Mate Inflatable Air Mattress: Elevated Bed with External Air Pump by Rick Malloy

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great air bed, needs an electric pump. Inflation/deflation takes 20 minutes.

I have tried every air bed that has a pump built in, there are many at Revain. The problem with all of them is the weak point around the pump, the plastic stretches and tears easily and flows like crazy. They all seem to last 3-6 months or less. Stumbled across the Air Comfort which was a great price but comes with a pump which takes lots of D cell batteries and takes a good 20 minutes to inflate or deflate. The company could easily switch to an electric pump for a few dollars more, and that would make a world of difference. This air bed has actually lost some air in the last 3 weeks, not due to a leak, it just seems to lose air over time. I was able to pick up an electric pump which helps a lot. This bed doesn't have an auto shut off function, in other words you don't know when to stop blowing air. There's probably only a very small chance it will explode if you let it fill up forever and ever. Just sit on it and stop adding air when you feel comfortable. I put my mattress on a metal frame that raises the bed off the floor - look for SmartBase Mattress Foundation. Overall the bed is great, lasts a long time and folds very easily without the need for an open pump. Overall I would rate this bed 8.5 out of 10.
