We have never used beach balls before but my child has some sensory dislikes and has been instructed to work with sensory play equipment such as beach balls. We bought it because it was a good price and it came with small measuring spoons, some tweezers (2 of each) and some beads. We figured if we liked them we could always try the more expensive variety, but I guess we'll probably stick with these. It came with loads of water balloons, we only used a few and there are so many left I bet we will have enough for the next few months! Balls are probably not the best quality but my son enjoys playing with them. They are a good size for toddlers/small children's hands. The tweezers weren't very good (for THIS specific use), they didn't pick up the beads at all. I tried them myself and was "disappointed" and for a kid like mine with some fine motor delays we don't even try to use water balloons anymore. However. They're not bad tweezers for other purposes, so we'll probably use them for some other games that are more handy for them.
