Review on πŸ”‘ Key Fob Cover Case Shell Keyless Entry Remote for Toyota Prius 2004-2009 (Set of 2) by John Patterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Saved $400 instead of buying two new ones

Access to the electronics was a hassle after I removed the battery. need guidance. You will also need an o-ring for the battery cover. Otherwise it looks good and works perfectly. A week after this change was processed, I tried to insert a new key fob into the key slot and the car didn't recognize the key. I could remove the key and the car would. I've found that when I use the old back with the new one, the other parts work after some tweaking in the key slot. I have a silver Toyota badge on my back. But now the old case and the new will not tell apart. So I had to tape the halves together with duct tape. Now it works both ways. The company that does this should do more research and create a solution so that regular people can use this product without any problems. I did this job, my wife would give it back. My wife is happy with hers even if it doesn't work in the key slot. The button side of our two old ones was in terrible shape (we looked at the electronics that actually pushed the button on the circuit board. I still don't regret picking this up as it still saved me a lot of money.
