Transferred electronics from my old key fob to this one. The doors could be locked and unlocked, but the key fob would not start the car when inserted into the key fob slot. I spent 30 minutes bringing everything back so I could drive home

The circuit board and battery from the old key case fit in, although I had to file 2 small protrusions inside to fit (to avoid bending the circuit board). The problem is that the latch that holds the battery door doesn't work securely so the door slides off when you pull out the mechanical key or even when you take the key out of the car!

Used to refresh a scratched and broken OEM key fob. Everything fits. I had to remove the seals from the native keychain. The battery screws are different, they are self-tapping screws, not mounting screws. I had to use silicone to make a gasket and a final seal before closing the case. Otherwise it will open easily. These cases offer very good value for money (5 stars) and work as an OEM FOB. Only 2 stars for the installation as it is difficult to safely open and place the components into the new case. 4 stars overall as they are not as waterproof as the OEM cases.
