I just received this phone holder two days ago. So far, so good. I have to say I was a bit worried about the installation after reading some of the reviews. Some reviews say installation can be tricky and removing and removing the phone mount can be tricky. I had no problems with the installation. I even had to take it off to adjust the position and had no problem removing it. There is a tension knob that you can turn to adjust the device if your phone is a little heavy like mine and allows it to stand upright. Yes, as with anything, you have to be careful. You can't just rip it out or push it too hard or it will break. The brackets that attach to the vents are thin and made of plastic with metal springs that adjust to the width of the vents. It also came with extra springs and a number to activate the warranty. In general while it is very strong. It works well with my HTC EVO Shift phone which has a case. It fits perfectly in my Kia Soul car. My only issue is that when I tried to attach the charger to my phone and mount it on the bracket, it didn't fit the small feet. The side handles for holding the phone are long, leaving little room when you stretch your legs for extra grip. I had to kick my legs back, adjust the phone to be slightly lowered to free my hand, and leave the charger there. Although it was a small thing. I'm keeping the box it came in because like one of the other reviewers said you need the original packaging to return it. I don't expect to have to return it, but you never know. I would recommend this phone holder to anyone looking for one. I might even buy another one for my husband. May 2013 is fine so it's been almost a year and I broke around February. The parts that attach to your vent are broken and I'm not the type to put them on and take them off. I left it on, but it broke anyway. I will not buy another. I'll look for something else.
