I bought this after borrowing my sister's portable DVD player and found that I really liked it because of its comfort. I can sit on my bed and watch movies. Currently my regular DVD player connected to my TV is not working. So if I didn't have one, I'd be out of luck! The screen is smaller than my sister's, but I could get a bigger screen if I wanted to spend more money, so it's not the player's fault. I wish the audio was a little louder; Some movies/TV shows aren't very loud and you have to turn the volume all the way up. The picture itself is very clear. There is a choice of subtitles that I use if sometimes I can't understand what someone is saying (sometimes you just can't understand what's being said no matter the volume). It doesn't always seem to save where it was when I turned it off, but that might be because sometimes I just turn it off without pressing stop. I can't say anything about the battery because I've never used the device without a mains connection. I don't travel much and haven't traveled at all since this purchase so I've never had to use the battery. I love this car so much that right now I don't see the point in wasting money on another car as there aren't many Region 2 movies I'd like to have. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. It's been working fine for me for almost a year.
