We have it and love it. The filter/UW light keeps the air in my child's room fresh and bright and judging by the dirt washed out of the filter with each cleaning and the lack of dust in the room I'd say it's a great one The air does the cleaning work of dandruff/dust/pollen. (We have a very clean house, lots of houseplants and of course we don't smoke, but we have 2 cats and tons of trees around the house so in the spring there is always a lot of dander and LOTS of pollen in the air.) My kids love the filter because it's a penguin - they called him "Pingu" and they always want me to turn it on at night. It also serves as her night light. To be honest one of the reasons I originally bought it was because it had a fan and we needed to drown out the crazy upstairs neighbors so our kids could get some sleep. We have now moved into our own house and this situation no longer applies. But the fan's soft white noise still helps drown out other house noises (Hello Santa Claus) and overall they sleep better with it. We've had this for about 3 years now and it still works great. Laugh at the commercials if you want, but I'm still very happy with Mr. Pingu.
