Bought for hygiene related to work in medicine. I've seen them used in the ER and ambulances and I wanted one for my home. Like other reviews it can leave a burning smell (to be expected), especially in the bathroom, but it fades and then feels and smells cleaner. At first glance, it may seem expensive compared to other brands that are significantly cheaper, but if you look at reviews of other brands, you'll see that the people who tested them didn't get any other UVC spectrum registered lamps . You get what you pay for.
