This thread breaks - especially when sewing by hand

I sewed everything. 45+ years old. Just started sewing doll clothes again for the "Covid" hobby. Bought this thread. my first Gutermann experience. It appears to be "microns" thinner than my other threads that are still in my sewing box. And I see it's all polyester. It doesn't suit me and I mainly sew from cotton. But my biggest disappointment. What an expensive thread. frayed when filling the needle (also big eye). Fries. scold again. It rubs more. I'm not very impressed. I will not buy again, not recommended
