I purchased this set of thread for wool appliqué and hand embroidered. I usually use DMC floss but I like how this thread stayed tightly wound together when stitched. The size 8 perle cotton is equivalent to 3 strands of floss. It has a nice sheen and does not drag through the fabric. There is a nice variety of colors. I wish it came in variegated colors.

I've been doing big stitch hand quilting with size 8 perle coton/pearl cotton--which is difficult to find. I've always used DMC threads over my 40 years of stitching, but local stores only stock a limited, boring palette of colors, and prices online are ridiculous. The first photo I put a Nintendo game controller next to the spools so show height. The second photo I took I used a chapstick to show the width. I was underwhelmed with the colors to show the difference in brightness compared to the photo online. And the amount of string per spool is deceptive - I'm guessing bc the products pic was from a zoomed in shot. My fault for not reading the size of spool.

i wanted various shades of browns. these are all shaded to go together. wonderful thread. i like the small spools too. easy to travel with. thread is good quality, no shredding.

Good quality, thicker embroidery thread. I use for tapestry weaving. Nice color group at a reasonable price. Recommend.

These are great for the price!I DEFINITELY enjoy working with the pearl thread as apposed to regular DNC floss. Pulls nice through whatever your working with, and doesn't get all fizzy, unraveled or anything as I'm working with it.

I haven't use the product yet but the colors are not as they appear in the picture. I did not get the red (bottom right), the deep rust color (top left), the dark green is not nearly as dark as in the picture. I got two gold that are slightly different and there is only one gold in the picture. False advertising. The color of this product is the most important thing. Very disappointed.

I used this thread to smock some little gingham sundresses for my granddaughters. I needed to have a light medium and dark shade for this, and this thread fit the bill perfectly and I thought it was a reasonable price for my project.

I was very pleased with this set of threads. I use these for some Christmas Ornaments on a regular sewing machine and this set has the right type of spool for this purpose. Since I need different shades of a color to go with these, I find this set has exactly what I need.If you need this type of thread for a regular sewing machine I would definitely recommend this set. By the way, this type of thread is not used for the bobbin thread.

My bad, I did not pay attention to spool size diagram. I thought the spools were larger. It's nice thread mind you. But way too expensive. If they were decent size spools, it would be a good deal. As it is. Rip off. My fault though, as I saw and clicked without looking at All the details.Do not repeat my mistake.

I was excited that these had higher yardage than what I normally buy. I am just now using them. Started with the navy color. Thread feels dry rotten. I get a few stitches in and the thread breaks. I am still in the first square of my quilt. Thread has broken three times. Waste of money.

I am using these threads to embellish my appliqué quilts. They are very well priced, and the same high quality of my pricey name-brand threads. Highly recommend!

I bought this on some recommendations to use for bead knotting (for necklaces, with a knot between each bead. It is very much not for that. In case you were wondering. In fact, I’m surprised it can be used for much more than maybe some easy embroidery. After threading only 3 beads onto it, the thread became really fuzzy and dull looking. The colors were true as advertised and the weight is quite good. It works up well in my needlepoint projects. Expensive compared to other thread brands!

I use these for a lot of string art I do! It is sturdy and as long as you don’t need to restring too much, it holds together perfectly! Highly recommend, especially for the price!
