Limited technical/service support for problems

I can't add any information on how this unit works as I haven't been able to get it working or get a replacement in four weeks. I hope if you order this your light will work better than mine. This is a cautionary tale about ordering this light if there is a problem. First, you need to know that while it says "GE" here, it's actually manufactured by Jasco Products, a service company. I'm not clear if the "GE" part is more than licensing the use of a more recognizable trademark. My device arrived well packaged and with no visible damage. After installation, the tube only glowed faintly at one end. The troubleshooting resources on the Jasco website were limited and useless to resolve this issue. I checked other resources and after checking everything I came to the conclusion that the problem is probably with the mount. I contacted Jasco customer support via live chat as I was unable to reach tech support over the phone. After more than 20 minutes of troubleshooting, the Jasco representative agreed that the instrument needed to be replaced. At this point, chat is disabled. Although I gave my name and email address, I was not contacted again. When I started the chat the second time, the next representative had no prior information and had to start over. After finally getting through the second round of restating the same information, I finally got the information I needed to return the instrument. Good thing they provided me with a shipping label to send it back for free. The bad news is that at this point I've been waiting for almost 4 weeks, with cables dangling under my kitchen cupboard, with no replacement hardware and no confirmation that it even arrived or in any way I can track what's going on. . So far, Jasco's support has received 2 stars at best (and that's pretty generous). If you can get better light support in case of problems, I would recommend that. February 14, 2019 update arrived and they will send a replacement. The replacement came within a few days. Installed, the light works well. It fits perfectly under the kitchen cupboard and offers a good quality of light. I also got a call from tech support to make sure the replacement bulb worked. Even if the initial experience was anything but optimal, it shows that Jasco can stand behind its products, which is valuable. I have increased my rating.
