I bought these looking for cheap monitor stands. I didn't want to spend serious money on something so simple and easy to make. However, given those criteria, it's a great choice that you just can't beat. They attach with standard pins, not screws. So be careful when looking for something heavy. It holds my two 27" flat screens perfectly with minimal wobble when I deliberately shake it with my hand. They look and feel cheap, but then again I wanted to achieve just that. Just something to elevate my monitors with I can put cables and spare USB drives in bins.
