Received and installed today. My Visiontek 500GB nvme m.2 SSD ran at 35-37 degrees, sometimes reaching 40. Right now when I'm typing, the drive installed on this card registers 22 degrees and reaches a maximum temperature of 30 under load. I leave the fan on run at half speed to extend fan life. I can always increase the fan speed if I see my drive temp rising, which I'm not expecting at the moment. Also, if the fan fails on this card as others have said, I really don't mind just swapping it out. You can buy a pack of five fans here at Revain for just a few dollars, so I don't see that as a deterrent to purchase. And replacing the fan really couldn't be easier. So yes! I would definitely recommend this card to anyone looking to cool their internal PCIe SSD. The bottom line is that it cools your drive and keeps it cool. Much better than enclosing the same drive in a heatsink. I will be buying another one of these for the second Visiontek nvme SSD I recently ordered. You pay enough for discs. What $10 more makes drives last longer?
