I bought this blue/black watch for my 8 year old son and he is very happy with it. It's not a fashion watch, but it lives up to the expectations and has withstood his rugged lifestyle so far. He hasn't lost it either after owning it for several months. You don't know my kid, but that's saying something. I take this as proof that he really loves and appreciates it! As for the size, I would say that it is perfectly suitable for a large child or woman. Most likely, it will not suit a grown man with wide wrists. The band is a soft, flexible, silicone-like material. They look better in real than in the picture. Overall I'd say this is a great first watch for a kid or a solid sports watch for an adult with a petite wrist.
