Review on American-Made Primal Freeze Dried Dog Food Nuggets: Lamb Formula for Grain-Free Raw Diet, Gluten-Free Topper/Mixer by Crystal Bryant

Revainrating 3 out of 5

My dog loves it but where's the lamb?

It contains alfalfa, which I doubt and do not like. I have had horses for 30 years and I know how alfalfa smells and when wet it smells more like alfalfa than lamb. Lamb has a strong distinctive smell that tells me there isn't much lamb here even though it costs as much as it is. Also, in some bags, it's very crumbly, like it's very old or has more stuffing in it. The current product in the box looks better, although it smells the same. My dog currently eats this in his lamb rotation instead of beef and he loves when I hydrate with warm water which works best. However, I feel quite cheated when feeding this product. So three stars for US origin, which is extremely important, also made in the US (not sent to China for processing and then sent back, that's so crazy!), it's grain and antibiotic free, and the bug is it very dangerous. enthusiastic about it and he also eats really raw. The brand's Lamb in a Bright Red Bag has reviews where people say it smells; yes, like a *lamb*! So if you want more real lamb, this is your best bet, but it costs more. Because it is very expensive meat! I can't afford to eat it myself!
