I've had my set for a year now and have used it a number of times including a couple of gigs. First, it sounds unexpectedly good for a cheap shotgun mic, and that's the main thing. I would have expected to pay a bit more to get a significantly better headset microphone. So, here's the overall impression of the little usage I've had. I didn't use lavalier mics, so this review will only focus on the headset. Pros: 1) Unexpectedly good sound quality. The voice is clear and the timbre is quite natural. Definitely not a boom. 2) Very light headgear. Not uncomfortable for my head. 3) Respectfully directed. Not what I would expect from a $300 mic, but it does help with feedback. In a small tiny rehearsal room there was feedback when near the amp, but in a large room there was no problem even when in front of a fairly large speaker with volume. 4) The pairing seems to be reliable and fast enough, nothing more. it's a few seconds at worst. 5) You can connect two microphones to one receiver. Each station has its own volume control, so many settings are available to each user. 6) The transmitter is disconnected from the headset. The connection has a screw lock so it won't fall apart if you pull on it. 7) Excellent customer service once you figure out how to contact them. 8) I love the cover. It looks very professional and keeps everything together. 9) Good battery life. I haven't used them fully, but they're certainly adequate for typical performance. Cons: 1) Sometimes I hear a little background hum. Rotating the receiver one way or the other can help or even eliminate it entirely, but it shouldn't be there. 2) Unbalanced 1/4" connector on the receiver. If it was a 1/4" TRS with a differential drive output, it might not have a "whining" problem at all. 3) One of the transmitters from died on my first set. Support fixed the problem quickly but asked for the original back cover which was a bit of a hassle and cost a few bucks shipping. However, they stand by their product, which isn't always the case with hardware in this price range. 4) The gooseneck doesn't hold up well at tighter angles I decided it would be best not to try to make a very tight bend to get the mic closer to my mouth It's okay but not very good. 5) The headset doesn't hold my head very well so it can drift over time causing the mic to sag, I may need to put a small pad on the back to prevent this, again nothing major a fix can come up with little creati viability to be implemented. My overall impression is that this is a decent set and worth a relatively small investment to me. If you don't need two mics, just buy one with just the headset and save some money.
