It doses the job well enough, but don't expect too much from it.

I bought this product because my VCR, which was able to show my old games on a modern TV, eventually broke and couldn't show anything on the TV. When I was looking for an AV to HDMI converter, I found several clones of the same product based on the top 10 review list and decided to stick with this one, especially due to critical reviews from different sellers of the same device. As for the display as a whole, it's about as good as it gets. and I will say that in terms of quality it is as good as the VCR I had. The only way to improve the quality of the display output is to either change the components in the console itself, or run the game on an emulator that runs the game natively on the PC. For the graphics comparison, I used Starfox for SNES to compare real hardware and official new releases on Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service. I immediately noticed how on real hardware with the converter the colors mixed and faded very slightly, when I tried to switch the function from 1080p to 720p it only reduced the display and didn't really improve anything. However, in the Switch reboot, the colors are much brighter, which is not the case. t how faded. It's detailed enough that you can see the pixels a little more clearly. Overall, it serves its purpose pretty well for those who just want to find a way to play their old consoles back on a modern TV with no AV input.

Pros
  • AV to HDMI Converter: Converts analog composite RCA input (Red, White, Yellow) to HDMI 720P/1080P (60Hz) output signal. You can bring your whole old gaming system to an HDMI projector/monitor with RCA output!
Cons
  • It's OK
