I don't mind, but the little family member finds it difficult to keep her hair dry on days when she just wants to shower her upper body. Our shower makes our head rise quite high. With the shower head mounted underneath, that probably wouldn't have been a problem. The questions and answers say something about the additional splash protection that applied to the previous design and not to this one. It's louder than the previous shower head, but not insanely loud.
