Update from 02/22/2021 The chrome was swollen from the inside and peeled off around the entire circumference. My wife actually cut her hand on the chrome. The head itself is an unknown cast iron, white corrosion has chipped away the chrome. Definitely not stainless steel or even brass. I forgot what a high volume shower is like, in hindsight the water savings were offset by the longer shower time trying to rinse off.
