Will I be able to live without it? Yes. I had $10+ just to go broke? Yes. It works out? Yes. can i live without Yes again. Ha ha. I wanted to get away with feeding frogs with 5 pincers. I've had them for 2 weeks now. Day 3 with this bowl, and yes, now they have (I assume) figured out their food will be there. You could probably do without it, but I think it will definitely hold the worms in place somewhat in the long run. Of course, some will fly out, but that's definitely better than all the worms scattered around. I know the bowl is made for shrimp and I'm sure it will work best for them. I like the bowl itself. He is balanced, clear, looks good. I probably wouldn't want it any wider. If that were the case, it could become even more of an eye irritant in the tank. If you only have $10 to spend? Why not. The rating is of course based on my use for African dwarf frogs.
