Absolutely not - you had better use Plain Paper

. Remember I use Prismicolor and Caliart alcohol markers and this is my only guideline. hope as my sketchbook sizes are often smaller than what I like to work with. I immediately noticed that this paper is not entirely resistant to bleeding - a little ink bleeds through to the next page. This isn't a problem for me as I don't believe in sealed paper so I have ways around it. The first problem I encountered was the thinness. The paper is so thin that any etching can easily wrinkle it and cause an unwanted paper texture. Even using an elastic eraser caused very severe creases. I was willing to work around this by using a different sheet for the line art (because they are so thin it wouldn't be practical to lay one sheet on top of the other and create the line art that way). And then I ran into a problem: the paper does NOT mix. Spring. General. The paper doesn't absorb very well and even after wiping the same spot twice it takes a lot longer to dry than a similar much smaller pad (which was one of the reasons I bought this pad - the smaller one is so well preformed). that I thought bigger could only be better, right?) Also, large areas of color were very striped, with sharp, visible brushstrokes, while on any more-or-less decent marking paper they would spread evenly and blend with the right technique. While it's admittedly better than something like notebook paper, I strongly suspect that using plain old printer paper will be less of a problem.

Pros
  • Drawing Paper
Cons
  • Slightly Torn

The over-all blending is good
