I'm not exactly sure how to rate this device but I'll say this at least: The device didn't have the expected deterrent effect on our barking dog . It is my understanding that this is not a 'lazy dog silencer' so to speak, but is best used as part of the training program you are following, either on your own well thought out plan/research or on the advice of a professional trainer. I also think it will be hit or miss. Maybe you have luck. It seems to work as it should, but I don't think it should be that easy to get and it doesn't come with a ton of warnings and advice on how to use it. Integrated use with other methods.I. laser pointer? Not necessary.
