I bought these because there are almost no compression free knee socks for large calves. I prefer knee socks because my feet get cold easily. Pros: They're pretty easy to put on (for a compression stocking) and stay on your feet all day (which isn't the case with non-binding sock socks). I tried diabetics). These are pretty comfortable clothes. I'm aware of them all day, but not out of discomfort. I've tried "hard" compression stockings but they were quite painful to wear, probably because they didn't fit. Which brings me to the next. The Bad: I'm 5ft 3" and these socks are too long for me. Luckily I can bend them 4-5 inches at the top so the length is pretty smooth down the calf. I also have a whole bunch of extra socks on my fingertips. The "Petite" compression stockings aren't big enough for my 22 inch calf, so this is as good as it gets without investing in something custom made. And they're so expensive that I don't want them, especially since I don't wear them for medical reasons.
