Review on Classroom Learning Resources: LED Light Buzzers by Stephen Thomas

Revainrating 2 out of 5

No on/off buttons and stops working after 1 use

I was very happy to take them to China to use in my English classes. The first grade I used them the green stopped working. This was very disappointing as I was halfway through class and had just put new batteries in. Blue stopped working for me the next day. They seem to get stuck and I had to keep picking them up and rotating them during class to get them working again. I'm not saying that my students weren't involved in the buzzer malfunction (some of them can be rude), but even after putting new batteries in, two out of four buzzers don't work. Overall, I'm disappointed that the buzzers didn't stand up to the wear and tear of the classroom. I mean they shouldn't just sit there, the kids should be able to hit them! Also, they don't have on/off buttons, so if you don't want to carry a screwdriver to remove the batteries and don't want to carry them out in the hallways to avoid being looked at when the police siren goes off in your bag, search maybe for something else.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
