I bought it as a rear light for an e-bike. I'll probably change it so that it doesn't focus into the beam as it's blindingly bright when aimed at you. I ran it on a battery charged to 58.8 volts, which as I said draws 20-30 watts. I like that it can be used over a wide voltage range. It can run on a 9V battery, but will begin to dim if operated below its rated voltage or if operated from a battery with insufficient amperage.
