This device is a robust dispenser for bottles with a screw cap, such as e.g. B. a 2 liter soda bottle. I haven't had any leaks from what I used from the cap or valve. Note that it will not be able to store soda in the original soda bottle (e.g. soda) unless you open the valve only when there is liquid on the valve and not air/CO2, i.e. H. Hold the bottle slightly upside down. The best way to retain the fizz is to fill your drink in smaller bottles and leave no air space so the soda can't escape from the liquid later (in a small bottle). Any carbonated liquid in a headspace bottle loses some of its carbonation due to the compression of the air with the released CO2. Note that if you leave an air space in a 2 liter bottle overnight and then turn it upside down, the bottle will be repressurized and the liquid will come out with force (and more fizz).
