Unfortunately it is not possible to leave negative stars. Absolute waste of time and money. The item arrived on time but I couldn't use it for the first week or two. When I got to the point where I wanted to use it I was very excited and thought it would significantly reduce my production time. I am building a 20 x 15 shed under my house and since the house is on stilts all I had to do was frame it by tying it to the existing structure. never mind Loaded about 3 inches. galvanized nails and I'm ready to "fly" on this pup! Two nails - stop. Disconnect the hose and check for clogs. Nothing. Connect hose, two more nails, FOOT AGAIN. Repeat the process, same result. I've completely given up driving a nail. If I didn't try to shoot the nails at a 90 degree angle it would be pointless. I put the gun away, thinking maybe I'm doing something wrong. Second day, same result. re-reading the guide was useless, no information in the troubleshooting section. Apparently lubricating the gun solves ALL problems, according to the company (NOT). Finished framing by hand. Considering the time I spent disconnecting and reconnecting the gun, this proved faster. Being a bit stubborn (or stupid), I decided to do an "old college try". This time I used shorter nails, 2 1/2 inches. for the T-111 siding. All shots are at a 90 degree angle, no nails in toes or any "fancy stuff". Surprise, surprise, two nails STOP. Reluctant to use the gun as a hammer, I decided to borrow a 15-year-old rusty Hitachi gun from my neighbor who uses it almost every day on a construction site. The rest of the project flew by. No traffic jams. No Disconnecting - Reconnecting the hose dance, no gallons of oil required, just hammered in hundreds of nails. Could have bought a Hitachi in a big box nearby but thought I'd give it a try and save a few bucks. If time is money, NuMax owes me a lot. Be smart and spend the extra money (or borrow your neighbors) and your blood pressure will thank you.
