Excellent image quality and portability

I've owned several projectors over the past 18 years and one of the biggest complaints I've had is that replacement bulbs have been VERY EXPENSIVE. As a result, I hardly ever used them and they started gathering dust in the back of my closet. When I stumbled across this projector I was intrigued by how cheap it was for a native 1080p projector and I was curious if LED projectors could outperform the older ones I have. So I decided to try it for the last 20 days to see how well it works. PROS - HD 1080p resolution - Affordable price - Multiple connection and input options including USB sticks and TWO HDMI ports - Can natively play a variety of video, photo and audio formats including MP4, MP3, MOV, AAC, FLAC - Exceptionally bright output with 7000:1/6000 lux brightness even at a projected size of approx. 200" (max. 300" which I did not test) - Surprisingly loud speakers - Much quieter than my old projectors - Traditional image correction controls (zoom /Focus/Keystone ) - Capacitive touch controls for a smoother/professional look - Remote control - Small and portable - LED lamp lasts much longer than old projectors - Exchange/return within 5 months and repair within 5 years. That really surprised me! CONS - Requires AC power and cannot run on battery (the product isn't designed for that, but I wanted to point that out). However, I've paired this with Rockpals, Suaoki and nrgGo battery power stations (300w and up) and was able to get it to work. The sound quality is business-worthy, but I plugged it in for immersive movie surround sound. to Sonos system - No Bluetooth or WiFi capabilities - Manual may require some work. I was VERY surprised at how much power this projector has compared to older projectors I have owned. LED technology has come a long way, and because LEDs are much slower, turning off the projector doesn't require a cool down period like it used to. Also, connect multiple high-quality speakers via Bluetooth to enjoy your movie experience. This is an unexpectedly great system at a great price. The 1080p sharpness is much better than the 480p projectors I've used.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Dreary hardware
