Problem with the gas pump at the gas station. Wash parka cold, tumble dry low; do not dry clean. Professional laundresses told me to wash the parka with regular detergent and stain remover, which will dissolve the oil until the smell is gone. After 5 washes with regular detergent and Shoutable stain remover the smell was gone. But the fluff simply refused to regain its shape in the dryer; The park was flat. I followed the instructions for this product using a top loading household washing machine and warm wash water to ensure the cleaner activated. I washed the parka twice, back to back, before putting the green ball parka in the dryer on low. After 2 hours the parka dried and the fill power recovered by 85% (subjective measurements). As there were no stains or dirt on the parka prior to washing with the kit, I cannot comment on the product's ability to remove dirt. But I'm pretty confident that this product will work as advertised to keep outerwear down.
