The bristles are stiffer than I expected

This brush is fine. Actually it works pretty well. I used to have a natural bristle brush that was much softer. I'm getting used to this brush but will definitely go back to a natural one someday. Differences? Nylon bristles spatter more, so a very light touch must be used when lathering. Not so much, but it's not that comfortable to use. However, a very good price for a well-made and durable brush.
