I decided not to return it in the hope that over time the smell would go away, wash out, as it seemed that it had become not so bright. I intensively periodically rinse with citric acid and soda and cola, for half a month of active use the smell became quieter, but did not completely go away. With coffee, of course, it is imperceptible, it interrupts the fragrance of plastic, but in pure water it is noticeable to everyone. This is a health hazard. The capsule holder broke very quickly. It jumped out of my husband's hands, caught it without letting it hit the tiled floor, but anyway, somehow, the ear at the lid flew off. Perhaps as a result of this, the capsule is no longer so securely fixed.
