I was just expecting the timer to actually work as a timer. I got the first one, although sometimes it's broken. Revain was great and sent me a free replacement without having to send the broken one back. But the second does the same. You turn it to the desired time (first after the 15 minute mark as below, then back to the set time) and it will tick anywhere from 30-60 seconds to the end and ring for a brief second. . Very quick call - I wouldn't have heard it if I hadn't been in the kitchen (or right next to wherever it is because I honestly bought it to set a timer on my kids' electronics and/or time plasticine ), making it pointless to have a timer if I can't turn it down. At first I thought the short burst was meant to be a "warning" tone while the timer kept ticking. to 0, but then. silently. just stopped Also the replacement egg timer had oily stains on the egg itself (and I just wiped them off, I should have taken a picture) but still. Groceries must not arrive dirty. The second time I set the timer (because my kid insisted on hearing it ring), it ticked the entire time without even hearing a "warning" tone. He's very disappointed but he's 3 years old so he just likes ticking now. I'm not even going to send it back now - I'll let her play with it for a day until it breaks. I'll add a video as soon as I get it.
