VssoPlor conference lighting set overall good set; However, there is fierce price competition. I think the prices could be better adjusted to compete more effectively with the competition. My thoughts are listed below: Light Assembly: ---------------------------------- The lighting mechanism itself is relatively light and is made of aluminium. The LED display on the back of the light is easy to read and operate. I like the fact that you can change the color of the light temperature as I like incandescent light (3700K) more than daylight (>4000K). The light emitted is very bright when set to 100%. In fact, I found it very difficult to look at my screen even with the diffuser attached. I tried turning the brightness down and at 1% with the diffuser fixed it was still too bright for my liking. I would like the grayscale to be updated to provide an even lower level of emitted light at the 1% level, as there really is no need to set the light above 75%, at least that's what I can think of at the moment. I checked the battery life and found I only got about 45 minutes on a single charge at 100% brightness, but that was after the first full charge, which leaves room for error as the battery hasn't really conditioned yet. The lamp comes with a nice fabric bag to protect it and the diffuser during storage or when travelling. Light Diffuser --- The light diffuser is made of thick opaque white plastic. The plastic is minimally flexible, and I would strongly recommend sliding the diffuser onto the lighting mechanism rather than snapping it in place for fear of breaking the "clips" if they are attached and removed multiple times in this manner. Brackets ------- ------- Brackets in the kit were not usable for me. I'm not a photographer so the cold shoe mount doesn't work for me. The suction cup mount worked great on my Macbook; However, it doesn't suck up my plastic IBM laptop or external monitor well. I see many competing lighting kits come with the same kit, but no one thinks of non-metal laptop designs. I'd like to see an included mount similar to that of webcams so I can mount it on my monitor and laptop, which would be more appropriate for the target audience. They provide a nice fabric pouch to store the mounts and charging cable for storage and travel.
