Bought for our 1 year old king size mattress. I was pregnant and worried that my waters would burst in the middle of the night. I mentioned taking one to the knots but he was concerned it would be loud and hot. So I ordered it anyway and the next time I changed my sheets I put it on without telling him. A few weeks went by and as I neared my due date he asked if I would order a cover in case something happened. :) To which I replied that we already have it and have been sleeping on it for two weeks. He didn't even notice! We have had a baby ever since, and although my waters did not rupture, the baby peed, pooped, and vomited profusely, all of which required washing sheets and blankets. Nothing got through the lid even a bit.
