Bought these to add some flair to the plain white recessed lenses in various ceiling lights in our home. I have to say they were pretty easy to install in the original tins (once you get the hang of it) and now our ceiling lights stand out and look pretty snazzy. The only thing I would change is that they would be available in brushed nickel to match the rest of the metal around our house. But hey, brushed nickel looks nice and I'm probably the only one who can tell the difference. FYI: After installation, the lamp socket sits 1.5 inches higher in the ceiling, resulting in less light coming out of the can. their original level. With the extensions installed we now have the original light extending under the fixtures resulting in a much brighter space. Assembly.
