I am happy with this set for the price. It's very similar to watercolors, where you can dampen a specific color and then use different tools to apply it. The kit contains two types of brushes, a small round sponge and a small sponge applicator (as usual with eyeshadow). I also applied the paint with my finger and that worked too. My child was able to wash it off easily and had black and dark blue all over his face which in my experience sometimes with dark complexion can leave a small stain that needs to be wiped off or washed with soap and water a few times. The kit also includes stencils and some glitter which we haven't used yet. The fact that I found it easy to apply and easy to rinse off for only $10 is a thumbs up.
