It is very important that you follow the instructions and install the driver first (I was able to download it from CD AND internet on 2 different computers and it took less than 5 minutes). After downloading the driver, make sure you connect it to USB 3.0, as USB 2.0 gives terrible resolution on a second monitor (this happens to me first). Once I hooked it up properly (which took less than 10 minutes total) it works great and looks amazing! UPDATE: It's been a few days and it's still working great!
