Review on πŸ’‘ LOHAS LED Daylight Bulb: Equivalence in Brightness (600 1250 1850LM) by Josh Schaefer

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I installed it on a 3-way motion sensor and still you only get one level of brightness.

I bought these to replace the 3 way bulbs in my garage; hoping to save electricity. Currently, the motion sensor I use causes my lightbulbs to stay at their lowest setting for an extended period of time (before turning off completely) and then brighten up when motion is detected. I've always liked this feature. But no luck with these. The sensor can only seem to trigger them occasionally, which is a big disappointment. I'm not sure if it's the switch or the bulbs. Now I'm wondering if a dimmable LED (instead of a three strip) would work. If anyone knows the answer, I'd appreciate feedback. On the positive side, however, they have decent brightness (in the bluish-white spectrum of things) and illuminate the area immediately below them very nicely. They're not as bright as my previous incandescent bulbs (which were 250 watts at max brightness), but I couldn't find a 3-strip LED that was more than 150 watts. So far I am satisfied with the light quality. They give plenty of light to see when I'm working outside my garage in the evenings, or illuminate the driveway when cars pull up, so I'm not entirely disappointed. I just wish they dimmed after the brightness level expired. This would be great for 3 strip interior lamps. Just note that this is cool white, NOT warm white. But a great price and I'm reasonably happy with my purchase.
