I have returned this item but still give it decent stars and a good rating. My reason: I went to a reputable piercing shop to disinfect and insert this belly ring. I asked him to look at it for quality control and tell me if it was worth the price. The craftsman told me it was decent quality, definitely real gold. The only drawback is the low gold quality and the lack of internal threads. However, the only thing he liked was that it was completely solid, except for the bullet, which had no internal threads. Also, I have a deep belly button and need a wand called a J curve, which is a traditional ring that doesn't fit my belly button. misaligned and off center for $70. If you are allergic to metal I would suggest ordering a pure titanium bar from a reputable piercing company. Or, if you're serious about gold, don't go above 14,000. The reason for this is that anything higher means the gold is soft and porous, making way for a desirable breeding ground for bacteria. Titanium is best for sensitive skin.
