Bad reviews have no place

This product has received some bad reviews. I believe the problem users are having is that the wall chargers people are trying to use to power this cable do not have the correct output voltage required for this cable to interface with a Surface to function as a laptop. The Surface requires a 15 volt input on the charging side. You cannot use regular wall chargers that come with phones, tablets, etc. as the maximum output voltage is 5 volts. When using, the user's first thought is that the cable is not working. It's not a cable. This product works great when connected to an appropriate wall charger.

Pros

Allows you to charge your Surface devices with a 45W 15V 3A USB-C Power Delivery (PD) wall charger or power bank. All you have to do is take your USBC charger with you to charge many devices, including Surface, on the go. It is very light and portable. It can also be used as a spare charger.
